Trails around the Tower

Devils Tower offers a variety of trails suitable for all ages and skill levels, with the most popular being the Tower Trail. This paved trail spans 1.8 miles in total and is well-loved for its scenic views. Despite the occasional crowding, it remains a pleasant and easy walk with a few inclines, making it accessible to most visitors.

Valley View Trail is another quick yet beautiful trail at Devils Tower. Starting from the amphitheater, this trail winds through prairie dog town and provides picturesque views of the Belle Fourche River. With little to no change in elevation, it's a gentle trail perfect for stretching your legs and enjoying the natural scenery.

Joyner Ridge Trail is a favorite among Devils Tower View employees This secluded, 1.5-mile trail is not paved and features numerous inclines, but the stunning views and the serene sounds of nature make it well worth the effort. It's a great choice for those looking to experience a quieter, more rugged side of the park.
